Driver escapes serious injury

WINTERVILLE — An Eagle Lake man escaped serious injury Nov. 22 when he lost control of his vehicle while driving on the Red River Road.
“On Nov. 22 at approximately 8:14 a.m., Trooper Chris Cyr responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on the Red River Road in Winterville. Michael Boutot, 47, of Eagle Lake was northbound in his 2001 Pontiac when he failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway, striking a tree,” said Sgt. Brian Harris, Maine State Police.
Boutot was transported by Eagle Lake ambulance to Northern Maine Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
The vehicle sustained significant damage and was towed from the scene.
