WADE – Richard L. Howe, 66, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, Nov. 8, 2012, at his residence in Wade. He was born on Sept. 6, 1946, in Washburn, the son of Millage and Marjorie (Maynard) Howe.
Richard worked for several years for Potato Service, Inc. and McCain Foods, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He liked to joke and tease his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Howe of Wade; four daughters: Lisa of Calif., Kimberly, Kelly and Sue, all of Mass.; two brothers, Freeman Howe and his wife, Phyllis of Presque Isle, and Donald Howe of Texas; a sister,, Marilyn Van Scooter and her husband, Al of Washburn; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Richard was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Gary and Thomas Howe; two sisters, Shirley Smith and Alice LaPointe.
A graveside service was held 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at Hillside Grove Cemetery, Crouseville, with Pastor Ken Fox officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.duncan-graves.com
