With a combined effort of 150 hours, Brooklyn Plummer, Madison Cummings and Amber Thompson constructed Boredom Buster kits which have been given out at various departments of The Aroostook Medical Center (TAMC).

These kits contain puzzles, crayons, coloring sheets and various other components that will help time pass a bit more quickly for children either receiving care or visiting for an extended period of time.

The girls unanimously said that it feels good to do for others; a valuable lesson they are learning through their Girl Scouting experience.

“Each Girl Scout is encouraged to make a lasting difference in their community and these three young ladies have done an exemplary job,”, said Bobbie-Jo Caron, advancement specialist at TAMC. “We are very pleased and honored these young ladies choose to help their local hospital, especially as both organizations are celebrating a 100th birthday.”

These three Girl Scouts hail from Troop #726 of Presque Isle and are the first within their troop to earn their Silver Award.
