Fire department to host breakfast

The Ashland Fire Department will be hosting its third annual hunters breakfast Saturday, Nov. 3 starting at 4 a.m.
Breakfast will be served at the fire department for hunters and all others who would enjoy a hearty meal. The breakfast is buffet style and will include bacon, sausage, homemade hash browns, eggs, pancakes, homemade toast and breakfast beverages.
The cost will be $6 per person. Raffle tickets will be sold during breakfast with the drawing taking place after all the tickets are sold. Tickets are $5 each. First prize is a Mossberg 12-gauge pump shotgun, second prize is $100 and third prize is $50.
Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the fire department helping them to purchase needed equipment for Ladder Truck 3. There will also be over $500 in door prizes awarded throughout the morning.
The fire company hopes to have a successful breakfast following in the town’s tradition.
Craft Fair and Soup Luncheon
The Ashland Advent Christian Church on Exchange Street in Ashland will be holding its annual Craft Fair and Soup Luncheon this Saturday, Nov. 3 at the church. Crafts will be sold from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. The soup luncheon menu features a variety of homemade soups and rolls and will run from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Great way to warm you up on a chilly November afternoon! All proceeds will benefit the church missions.
