LITSCH, Jean Louise (McKay), 88, MAINE, October 25, 2012. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

    MAINE – Jean Louise (McKay) Litsch, 88, beloved mother, grandmother & great-grammie passed into the arms of our Lord at home, surrounded by her loving family on October 25, 2012. She was born December 14, 1923, in Presque Isle, the daughter of William and Bessie (Buxton) McKay.
    She was a wonderful mother and homemaker. In later years, she helped her husband, Carl and son, Bill, with their construction company. Among many things she enjoyed sewing, mowing her lawn, snow blowing her driveway and especially loved spending time at her camp with her family.
    She is survived by her daughters and their husbands: Carleen and Reginald Elliott and Laureen and Douglas Carlisle both of Presque Isle; her precious grandchildren: Carl Sr. and Lida Litsch, Douglas Carlisle Jr. and Amy Carlisle, Norman and Amanda Elliott, Sarah and Allan Rickhi, Matthew Elliott, William Elliott, and Darren and Katie Carlisle. Her great-grandchildren: Colby, Ethan & Cassidy Carlisle, Jonas Elliott, Carl Litsch Jr. and Adley and Ava Carlisle. She is also survived by her sisters, Filena Brown of Presque Isle and Rosemary Coffin of Ashland; and many nieces and nephews.
    She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Carl; her son, William Litsch; sisters, Nellie McCarthy, Harriet Lyford; and a brother, Harry McKay.
    A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday October 30, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Parish of the Precious Blood in Presque Isle, with the Rev. Emile Dube officiating. A committal followed the service at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Eagle Lake. There was a reception following the committal service at her summer home at St. Froid Lake. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Aroostook Area Agency on Aging, PO Box 1288, Presque Isle, ME 04769.
