LANNIGAN, Lowell S., 79, PRESQUE ISLE, October 22, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

PRESQUE ISLE – Lowell S. Lannigan, 79, died early Monday morning October 22, 2012, at his residence in Presque Isle. He was born in Easton on May 29, 1933, the son of Raymond O. and Hazel (MacFarline) Lannigan.
    He served in U.S. Army. Lowell worked for Rathbun Lumber Co., Keddy’s Motor Inn, MPG Texaco as a pump attendant, and then as a crossing guard at Zipple Elementary School. Lowell was an avid fisherman and hunter.
    He is survived by his wife, Rita (Willette) Lannigan of Presque Isle; a son, Steven Lannigan of Presque Isle; a daughter, Karen Fitzherbert and her husband, David of Rumford; a granddaughter, Lisa MacDonald and her husband, Brian of Houlton; a great-grandson, Brennen MacDonald; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Carroll “Skip” and Sharon Willette of Mapleton, Gary and Marilyn Willette of Presque Isle, Gerald Willette and Pam Ouellette of Presque Isle, Dana Willette of Presque Isle and Darlene Giggey of Glenburn, Barbara and Reynold Ouellette of Michigan; special friends, Karen Winslow of Presque Isle, and Bob and Rhonda Brown of Washburn.
    Friends may call 12-2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., with Rev. Emile Dube officiating. Interment with military honors will be at St. Mary’s Catholic North Main Street Cemetery.
