    HOULTON – Christine Caron Crawford, 97, died Oct. 10, 2012 at a local healthcare facility. She was born April 27, 1915 at Fort Kent, the daughter of Samuel and Christy (Castonguay) Caron.
    Christine was a communicant of Saint Mary of the Visitation Church. She was seamstress, knitter and was an avid quilter. She loved being with and playing with children. Christine lived in New York City, Florida and came home to Houlton in 2010.
    Christine is survived by her son, John Allen Crawford and his wife, Stacey; her daughter, Pamela Dorta; her grand-children, Marie Dooley and her husband, Brian, their sons Sean, Connor and Ciaran Dooley, Marjorie Lasnetski, her daughters, Abbie and Aimee Lasnetski, Christine Blandino and her husband, Peter, their children Holly, Coby and Nicole Grant, John Ray Noyes Crawford and his wife Shelby, their child, Gracie Mae Call; sister, Mary Ann “Blanch” Cyr; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, John; brothers, HeLaire, Zenon, Claud Caron; and sister, Amanda Dunphy. The family would like to thank Gardiner Healthcare Facility nurses and staff for their kind and loving care.
    A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 16 at Saint Mary of the Visitation Church with Rev. David Raymond celebrant. Interment will be at a later date in the Evergreen Cemetery.
