The high school regular soccer season will finish in 13 days, with the last countable game to be held on Oct. 16. The girls and Class D boys preliminaries will be Friday, Oct. 19, with the rest of the boys preliminary games on Saturday, Oct. 20.
The girls quarterfinals will be held Tuesday, Oct. 23, with the boys quarterfinals on Wednesday, Oct. 24. Class C and D semifinals are scheduled for Oct. 26, while classes B and A semis will be Oct. 27.
The regional finals for all classes will be Oct. 31 with state championships on Nov. 3.

The Houlton Lady Shires picked up a 2-1 win last Friday night over visiting Calais when freshman Katie Condon scored with 3:11 left in the second half, assisted by Emily Mooers, for the game-winner. Alana Pratt scored Houlton’s first tally. Goalie Marina Cameron blocked five of 10 shots faced.
For Calais, Megan Cavanaugh tied the game in the second half, while keeper Paige Gillespie made six saves on 13 shots.
Last Thursday, Schenck shut out visiting Katahdin, 10-0.
Katahdin keeper Courtney Stevens stopped six of 18 shot attempts.
In Danforth, the East Grand girls overtook visiting Southern Aroostook, 4-1.
Shaunna Beaudoin led East Grand with two goals and an assist, while Lauren Morse and Bayleigh Rowe each scored for the Lady Vikes.
Southern Aroostook’s lone goal was scored by Cassidy Lyons.
Last Friday in Danforth, the Southern Aroostook Warriors shut out East Grand, 4-0, as Cody Lassonde recorded a hat trick, while Cameron Landry chipped in with a single goal. Goalie Austin White stopped six of eight shots.

Last Tuesday night in Houlton, the Shiretowners defeated Lee Academy, 4-2, as Jimmy Fitzpatrick scored three goals and added an assist. Gage Hunt scored and goalie Kole Buzzeo had three saves on six shots.
For Lee, goalie Mike Richardson settled for eight saves on 14 shots faced.
Last Tuesday, the Southern Aroostook Warriors overcame visiting Hodgdon/GHCA, 1-0, as Logan Buckley headed in a cross from Lassonde with 3:18 left in the game. Goalie White had 10 saves, while Hodgdon/GHCA keeper Tyler Barton recorded 13 saves.
