EAST MILLINOCKET – A sure sign that fall has arrived in the Katahdin area is the setting of the date for St. Peter’s Fall Tea and Sale. Earlier this week Harvest Tea Sale Chairman Jean Daigle announced as follows the date, time and place of this annual event: Thursday, Nov. 8, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the luncheon served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The popular turkey potpie luncheon will be held in the parish hall and the sales tables will be located at the rear of St. Peter’s Church with a wealth of items offered for sale ranging from baked goods to a variety of crafts.
Back again this year is the popular $1,000 cash giveaway, according to Daigle. Top prize is $350 which some lucky person will take home, with lesser amounts also awarded. Only 100 tickets, at $20 per ticket, will be sold. Persons interested in purchasing one of those tickets should contact Charlene Rossignol at St. Peter’s office at 746-3333. The drawing for cash winners will be held immediately following the luncheon.
Also revealed this week were the prizes to be award in the chance drawings. These include: a Kindle, $100 in fuel, and gas cards valued at $25 each. Chance booklets were mailed out this week to St. Peter’s parishioners.
The Harvest Tea and Sale, organizers noted, will provide area people an opportunity to socialize and celebrate fellowship.
