Upcountry, UMPI’s online literary journal, to host launch party

    PRESQUE ISLE — The staff of “Upcountry,” the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s online literary journal, is hosting a launch party and official “Upcountry” Reading to celebrate the publication of its latest issue at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, in the Normal Hall Faculty Lounge. “Upcountry,” a publication of the University’s English Program, is dedicated to showcasing poems, short stories, personal essays and visual art from the campus community. It is published twice yearly. The reading and launch party is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served. FMI, e-mail the staff at upcountry@maine.edu.
