PRESQUE ISLE — A man wanted on outstanding warrants was tracked down by the Presque Isle Police Department’s K-9 and his handler and arrested Friday night.

Officer Joey Seeley, PIPD, received a tip Sept. 14 indicating Sean Levasseur, 29, of Presque Isle, was at a residence on the Chapman Road. Seeley went to the home around 2 p.m. and observed Levasseur running from the residence into a wooded area.

Officer Kevin Schumacher and his bloodhound, Hunter, were called in to track the individual. Hunter found Levasseur hiding in the grass. Levasseur was arrested and transported to the PIPD for processing. An officer was sent back to the trailer to pick up clean clothes for the man, then Levasseur was transported to the Caribou Police Department.

Also assisting Seeley was Officer Ryan Eagles, PIPD.
