PRESQUE ISLE – Anne G. Johndro, 71, formerly of Limestone, passed away Monday evening, Sept. 10, 2012, at the Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle. She was born in St. Anne de Madawaska, NB, Canada, the daughter of Gerard and Jeanne (Devost) Dumont.
Anne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. We love and miss you already. She loved playing Bingo and Canasta, was excellent at sewing and knitting, and a wonderful cook.
She is survived by her husband, Guil W. Johndro of Presque Isle; a son, Anthony Johndro and his wife, Molly of Elizabethtown, PA; two daughters and their husbands, Sharon and Timothy Ayres of Mount Lake Terrace, WA, Amy and Jesus Medina of Presque Isle; two brothers and their wives, Rheal and Marie Dumont of Rimouski, Quebec, Donald and Lucy Dumont of Stephenville, Newfoundland; two sisters and their husbands, Rolande and Claude Violette of Notre Dame de Lourde, NB, Linda and Gerard Dube of St. Anne de Madawaska, NB; six grandchildren; twins Mathew and Chris, and Hunter Johndro, Kailey and Timmy Ayres, and Nicholas Medina.
She was predeceased by a sister, Geraldine Gauvin.
A private service was held Thursday evening with Rev. Emile Dube officiating at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Interment was at St. Louis Cemetery, Limestone.
