Dr. Allen Salo, left, associate professor of psychology, UMPI, and Central Aroostook Humane Society Board of Directors member, is welcomed at a recent meeting by Fort Fairfield Rotary Club Program Host Tracy Copeland.Allen addressed the club concerning the Humane Society’s roll in the region and ongoing activities at the facility. At this time the society is in the process of upgrading necessary resources, especially with respect to transportation. Allen noted that at any given time there can be as many as 200+ animals at the shelter which translates into many trips to associated facilities.
