B-CLR-Shop N Save-dcx1-pt-38Paradis Shop N Save’s Houlton location is showing its support for local troops by raising money from Patriots Day to Veterans Day (Nov. 11). Pictured are store manager Jody Moulton and members of his staff washing a vehicle. Events include holding a car wash, sales of yellow ribbons, a donation kiosk as well as collecting for Cell Phones For Soldiers. All monies donated will be used to purchase and send items to troops from the local area deployed overseas. Used cell phones are collected through Cell Phones For Soldiers, then recycled. Funds raised from recycling are used to purchase phone cards for troops to call home. “John Burmingham brought his car honoring the fallen soldiers to support our car wash,” said Jody Moulton, Paradis’ Shop N Save manager. “We held the car wash on Patriots Day, and accepted donations. Thank you to all area residents that supported our car wash. We raised over $400.”
