Premier League (grades 3 and 4)
Galaxy vs. Timbers
The improvement of the Galaxy players continued, as Devin Ouellette, Sammy Marquis and Hannah Tarbox each turned in great performances in last Wednesday’s contest. Edie Shea covered a lot of ground and played well in the midfield position, and Livia Bouchard spurred several attacks with her clearances from the defensive end. Galaxy goal scorers were Logan Cheplic, assisted by Sammy Marquis; Riley Bouchard on a penalty kick; and Brevin Barnes, assisted by Bouchard.
The Timbers played well with outstanding performances from Caleb Espling, Matt Smith, Mia Theriault and Cody Martin.
Revolution vs. Red Bulls
Also last Wednesday, the Red Bulls team played with lots of heart and desire all game. Goals were scored by Sawyer Deprey and Ethan Holdsworth, who both had “hat tricks.” Avery Knowles had an assist in the game.
Team Revolution played very hard throughout. A great effort was turned in by Sage Dubay, Brooke Moir, and Josh Fortin.
World League (grades 5 and 6)
Chelsea vs. Manchester United
Chelsea and Manchester United contested in a hard fought battle last Wednesday, with excellent hustle and ball movement by Spencer and Jacob Soucy of the Chelsea team. Jared Jones and Alexis Bruso both played well on defense. Kassie Krul scored off of a Shelby Barnes assist.
For Manchester United, Paige Espling, Tyler Shade, Elsie Patton and Caragan Haney all performed very well defensively and offensively. Hayden Hunter and Dominic Barretto both scored goals, assisted by Parker Deprey and Aaron Johnson.
Barcelona vs. Real Madrid
Team Barcelona played in a tough match against Real Madrid last Wednesday. Tiernan Barbosa scored Barcelona’s only goal late in the game with Colby Bonville providing the assist. Austin Findlen and Kimmie Susi both played well offensively. Zack Gerakaris, Benoit Levesque and Bryce Bonville split time in goal and had many saves combined.
Real Madrid’s Alex Bouchard, Cullin Caverhill and Dagan Savage were the offensive threats in this game and scored some goals. Dan Liu played very well with great defensive moves and some spectacular saves while in goal.
