Weatherization includes things such as adding insulation, air sealing and installing new doors and windows. Energy savings can also be achieved through appliance upgrades, heating system upgrades, water heating upgrades, solar, wind, and geothermal systems and energy efficient lighting. We help customers prioritize improvements by targeting areas with the shortest pay-back period first. In our harsh Northern Maine climate, weatherization efforts produce immediate savings in heating and cooling costs while drastically improving occupant comfort.

Efficiency Maine offers rebate programs and low interest loans, as well as, other incentives to help all Mainers, become more energy efficient.
