OLDENBURG, Susan R. (Towle), 55, FORT FAIRFIELD, August 21, 2012. Arrangements are in the care of Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield.

    FORT FAIRFIELD – Susan R. (Towle) Oldenburg, 55, wife of Timothy W. Oldenburg, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday morning, August 21, 2012, at her Fort Fairfield residence. She was born December 10, 1956, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Everett L. Sr. and Mavis (Ladner) Towle. She was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School Class of 1975 and was married to Timothy W. Oldenburg on June 9, 1976. Susan had been employed as an accountant at D.F.A.S., Limestone, for the past eight years.
    She was predeceased by her father, Everett L. Towle Sr.; three sisters, Nancy Haines, Patricia McCue and Christina Fuller.
    She is survived by her husband of thirty-six years, Timothy; her mother, Mavis L. Towle, both of Fort Fairfield; one son, Joshua Wayne Oldenburg of Portland; one daughter, Lindsey Sue Oldenburg Francis of Presque Isle; one brother and sister-in-law, Everett L. Jr. and Linda Towle of Othello, WA; four sisters, Carleen Coffin of Bangor, Jacqueline Anderson and her husband, Robert of Webster, NY, Mary LeVasseur of Vancouver, WA, Kathryn Towle of Fort Fairfield; two grandchildren, Raina Francis of Presque Isle and Acadia Oldenburg of Montgomery, AL. Susan also leaves behind her father- and mother-in-law, Robert E. and Ada G. Oldenburg of Zephyrhills, FL; two sisters-in-law, Marcia Jean Oldenburg of Tampa, FL, Karen Sue Oldenburg of Augusta; one brother-in-law, Steven Robert Oldenburg and his wife, Diana of Westfield; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
    Friends called Thursday, August 23, 2012, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. The funeral service was conducted Friday, August 24, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Diane Langworthy officiating. Interment took place after the service at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments was held after the interment at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post Number 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield.
