Donald Leon Marcoux

MARCOUX, Donald Leon, 73, MARS HILL, August 26, 2012. At his request, there will be no services. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Skowhegan, Maine.

MARS HILL – Donald Leon Marcoux, 73, died Aug. 26, 2012, at the Aroostook Health Center in Mars Hill. Donnie, as his friends called him, was born in Biddeford, ME, Aug. 9, 1939, to Leon and Irene (Sites) Marcoux.
    Donnie served four years in the service as a paratrooper with Company E 1st Airborne Battle Group, 506 Infantry, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Donnie traveled from Maine to Florida working and training race horses and as a farm laborer.
    Donnie is survived by his sister, Joann and her husband, Wallace Mahan of Mars Hill; a daughter, Laura; and special nieces and nephews; Paula Robinson and her husband, Stephen, Wallace Mahan Jr. and Lisa Sharp.
    Donnie was predeceased by his parents and a brother, William (Billy) Marcoux.
    At his request, there will be no services. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Skowhegan, Maine.
