Senior tourney draws 122 at Caribou Country Club

    CARIBOU — The Upper St. John Valley Senior Men’s Golf Association held its latest tournament at Caribou Country Club last Wednesday, Aug. 8, with 122 golfers competing. The top three in each of the six divisions for gross and net scoring were as follows:
    A Division gross:  Dave MacFarlane, Edmunston, 70 : Gary Greene, Covered Bridge, 73; Dave Plourde, Edmunston, 76. Net: Greg Cyr, Fort Kent, 64; Yvon Levesque, Edmunston, 67; Roland Duprey, Caribou, 68.
    B Division gross: Norm Collins, Caribou, 80; Rick Umphrey, Caribou, 80; Harry Orser, Mars Hill, 81. Net: Bob Osterblom, AVCC, 66; Harold Clark, Presque Isle, 68; Jerry Bear, AVCC, 70.       
    C Division gross: Dick Winslow, Portage Hills, 80; Jon Smallwood, VaJoWa, 85; Josephel Pelletier, Presque Isle, 87. Net: Lloyd Soucie, Fort Kent, 67; George Watson, Presque Isle, 69; Dave Wilcox, Caribou, 71.
    D Division gross: Cliff Gagnon, Long Lake, 87; Rod Mahan, Mars Hill, 88; Conrad Walton, Caribou, 90. Net: Tom Cyr, Fort Kent, 67; James Saucier, Limestone, 70; Elwood Doody, Limestone, 71. 
    E Division gross: David Griffiths, Presque Isle, 89; Gilles Lagace, Long Lake, 92; Duncan MacKenzie. Mars Hill, 93. Net: Dan Madore, Mars Hill, 70; Blake Buck, Presque Isle, 71; Ron Ouellette, Caribou, 71.
    F Division gross: Wallace Harvey, VaJoWa, 94; Ed Avery, Presque Isle, 97; Jim Kelley, Portage Hills, 98. Net: Greg Freeman, Portage Hills, 67; Roger Roy, Fort Kent, 69; Joe Kelley, VaJoWa, 70.
