Legislator of the Year

The Professional Logging Contractors (PLC) of Maine recognized State Sen. Troy Jackson (D-Allagash) with the “Legislator of the Year” award for his work on bonded labor, tree growth, fuel tax exemptions, and other logging issues. Jackson received unanimous support from the PLC for the honor. “As a life-long logger, I feel very strongly about the issues impacting Maine loggers. This recognition by the PLC is humbling, ” said Sen. Troy Jackson. “I can promise to make good on this award by continuing my work on logging issues. Until every Maine logger can find work and is getting paid fair wages job, I will fight hard for fairness for the Maine logger.”
