Businesses share Caribou’s caring spirit
Nothing beats an ice cream on a hot August afternoon — except for homemade ice cream paired with fun activities and friends, and it’s all free thanks to the Kieffer Agency’s annual Customer Appreciation Day.
Between the free homemade ice cream and fun activities, it’s no wonder that the Kieffer Agency’s annual Customer Appreciation Day draws a packed crowd. 
The annual event, held in conjunction with the Caribou Cares about Kids festivities, draws kids of all ages for the free famous homemade ice cream from Goughan’s Farm.
The event draws customers and non-customers alike, and its the more the merrier.
This is roughly the 15th year that Kieffer’s has held their famed Customer Appreciation Day, and it’s a tradition that’s taken root in the hearts of Kieffer employees.
Owner Rob Kieffer, for instance, is a familiar face in the coaching community and enjoys seeing happy kids and families.
“When the kids come in here with their faces covered in ice cream, you don’t see very many frowns,” he said, adding that kids of all ages enjoy ice cream.
Kieffer’s has even arranged for the Army National Guard (and their bounce house) to attend the event.
Customer Appreciation Day will be held rain or shine. Even if Mother Nature decides to bring showers on Friday, Aug. 11, there’s plenty of room on the Agency’s front porch to enjoy a free ice cream and watch the rain.
“We like to support Caribou Cares about Kids, and we think it’s a great event” explained Kieffer, but participating in the annual festival is Kieffer’s way of saying “thank you” to their customers.
“We thank [our customers] daily when we conduct business with them, but there are many of our clients that we don’t get to see,” he said, explaining that the Customer Appreciation Day serves as a big thank you to the community for supporting the Kieffer Agency.
Customer Appreciation Day is held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
