MARS HILL — New coaches are now in place for a pair of varsity girls teams as well as a new athletic program being offered this fall at Central Aroostook High School.
Joe Levesque has been tabbed as the soccer coach for the Panthers. He has served as the junior high girls coach the past six seasons.
Megan Korhonen will lead not only the CA girls basketball team, but also the school’s newly-formed cross country girls and boys running team. She is a graduate of Greater Houlton Christian Academy and the University of Maine at Presque Isle and was a multi-sport star at both.
Korhonen served as the JV girls coach at Central Aroostook during the 2011-12 campaign.
Stori Shaw, who coached the soccer and basketball teams last year, stepped down and will be moving out of the area, according to CAHS Athletic Director Ryan Guerrette.
