Sleepers 21, Bank of Maine 4
Sleepers’ Cole Jackson hit the first over-the-fence home run of his career and finished with four hits and eight RBI as his team prevailed. Jacob Ouellette had three hits, including a triple. Camden Huck had four hits and four RBI while Alec Cyr also added three hits and scored 5 runs. Stewert Curtis pitched well in relief, striking out three batters. For Bank of Maine, Jaelynn Doody had a single and scored.
Key Bank 2, S.W. Collins 0
In a pitcher’s duel, Key Bank’s Noah Frost fanned 15 batters while allowing just one hit and one walk, while Branden Masse retired the only batter he faced in the combined shutout. Daniel Randolph stuck out nine, walked three and allowed just four hits, but suffered the loss. The game-winning run came across in the third inning when Seth Beidelman led off with a soft single and stole second, third and home. Cory Jandreau had the only hit for S.W. Collins.
KofC 10, Shop ’n Save 8
The Knights took an early 8-2 lead and held off a comeback attempt by Shop ’n Save. For K of C, Hunter Lindsey and Colby Bonville had the big hits with RBI doubles, with Lindsey, Nic Sleeper, and Dylan Bonville each scoring two runs. On the mound, starter Colby Bonville went the first 3-1/3 innings to get the victory, and Lindsey pitched the final 2-2/3 innings to earn the save. For Shop ’n Save, Carter Conley led the way with four hits and three RBI, and Evan Burgay had 3 hits, including a triple.
Northstars 17, Shop ’n Save 1
The Northstars plated nine runs in the second inning in posting the decisive victory. For the Northstars, Noah Hixon had two doubles and a single and drove in four runs to lead the attack. Alex Bouchard also had three hits, including a triple, and Kendra Furber had two hits and 4 RBI. Bouchard and Quist combined for 11 strikeouts on the hill for the winners. For Shop ’n Save, Parker Deprey had two hits, including an RBI double. Teammate Miles Collier saw action on the mound for the first time in his career.
Key Bank 22, Eagles 5
Noah Rosado paced Key Bank’s offense by going 4 for 5 with two triples and five RBI. Jacob Fitzgerald had a triple, while Seth Beidelman and Noah Frost each added doubles. Rieley Bossie earned the pitching victory. For the Eagles, Wyatt Taggett had a pair of hits, including a double and two RBI. Scott Bray had two singles.
Sleepers 12, VFW 6
The battle between Caribou Little League’s division leaders lived up to expectations. The pitcher’s duel between Spenser McDuffie and Matt Nadeau was a one-run game going into the bottom of the fifth before Sleepers broke the game open with five runs in the frame. Jay Belanger got on base with a one-out double. Jacob Ouellette singled followed by a two-run single off the bat of Alec Cyr. Camden Huck followed with his first career over-the-fence homer. For VFW, Evan Desmond, Matt Nadeau, Jerred Morrow, Corey Guerrette and Katie Clark all hits.
Police 6, Shop ’n Save 4
Police spotted Shop ’n Save a 4-0 lead before scoring six unanswered runs to pull out the victory. Police was led by the strong relief pitching of Dawson Hebert, who pitched 3-2/3 innings of shutout relief to get the victory, and the outfield defense of Drew Evans, who made four putouts, including the start of a double play to end the game. At the plate, Bailey Griffeth had two triples and two RBI to pace the victors. For Shop ’n Save, Carter Conley had a two-run single and Tristan Mancos and Alex Ezzy did the pitching.
