Rotary Club

The Mars Hill Rotary Club met Tuesday morning, June 19, at the Aroostook Health Center. The special speaker was Kevin McCartney, president of the Northern Maine Fair Association. Kevin spoke about the goals for this year’s fair, which will run from July 27 to Aug. 4.

The Association plans to expand the agricultural events this year to also feature a blacksmith shop. Other additions will be chickens and working horses. They hope to draw more folks to explore the agricultural heritage and exhibits. The Lil’ Farmers exhibit was a very popular exhibit last year and is expected to draw even more kids this year.
