Delaney Leach is the sixth grade daughter of Bobbi Jo Leach and Joseph Leach. She is a kind and helpful young lady and has worked really hard in her classes this year. She is a good friend to her classmates and exhibits wonderful citizenship qualities.
Samantha Buck, a senior at Easton Jr./Sr. High School, was chosen to be May Student of the Month. Samantha is a wonderful young lady who works hard at everything she does. Sam gets along great with her peers and works very well with others.
Emerson Dow is the third grade son of Heidi Brewer and Matt Dow. He is a kind and thoughtful young man and always gives his best effort. He sets a wonderful example for his peers and always has a smile on his face.
Church plans special program
The Easton Wesleyan Church will be hosting a special program on Sunday mornings for children ages 2 to Grade 6. “ Sky — Everything is Possible with God” will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. It includes a Bible story, games, music, science activities, crafts, puppetry and a missions project. All children are invited to join. If you have any questions, call Pastor Vaughn Martin at 227-3589.
Sympathy
Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Marguerette Brown who passed away. She lived in Easton for many years with her husband and children, who all grew up in Easton. She will be missed.
Also we extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Lillian Flewelling who passed away last week. Lillian lived in Easton for many years. She will be greatly missed.
Happy Days Club
The Easton Happy Days Club held their last meeting on May 24 with Vice President Elizabeth Martin officiating. A vote was taken and all agreed to take the months of June and July off. Notifications will be made for any trips the seniors may make during the summer. Thanks to all members for making the club a success and a place to socialize.
Travellers
Nina Trask, daughter Cheryl Thibeau and grandsons Bradley, Ryan and Austin have returned from a visit to Orlando, where they visited with daughter Norma Triola. Norma teaches flying at Air Orlando. They were able to attend a graduation party for Norma’s son, Jason, who just graduated from the University of Central Florida and is now employed as an EMT. Also visiting Norma Jean’s was Adam Trask and Kristi Wright Winans and her two children, Joshua and Matthew, from Jacksonville, Fla.
Closed for holiday
The Town Office will be closed on Wednesday, July 4. The office will be open for regular office hours on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Monday, July 2 — Easton Field Days starts.
Day Camp at the Hall from 9 a.m. to noon. Today we’ll be going to the West Ridge Golf Course, no fee. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
Senior Nutrition Class starting at 11 a.m. in the Manor; cost is $3.
Garden Group at the Hall from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m.
Swimming from 1:45 to 4:15 p.m.
Easton Field Days High School Basketball Tournament at EHS. Games at 4:15, 5:30, 6:45 and 8 p.m.
Zumba class from 6-7 p.m. in the elementary school gym. Pre-registration is preferred.
