Meghan gave the first honor essay speech. She related her life with a math equation. Trying to juggle homework, essays, family work and sports is not easy. It’s like a math problem. You have to divide your time among all of those things.
Ariana challenged her classmates not to give up. Even though the rocks may be rough and it may be quite rocky at times, don’t give up. Climb clear to the top. She asked them to prove to their parents and the teachers that taught them that they did learn and can put it to good use.

A warning to all of you about the bear sightings in Easton. There have been several bear sightings in many different parts of our town. Now you would think it would be only in the wooded areas but no, bear have been sighted very close to Main Street on various occasions. One was sighted just last week at the Odd Fellow’s Hall and then it proceeded to go downtown. Please be aware that these bear are hungry and may be dangerous. Lots of them have babies and mother bears are very protective. Watch out for your young children and warn them about these bears.
Sympathy goes out to the family of JoAnn Johnson. JoAnn passed away on June 10. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, of which she had many. JoAnn was a wonderful person who loved the Lord and everyone she met. Rest in peace my sweet friend.
