LEWIN, Michael A., 61, CHAPMAN, June 14, 2012. Friends and family are invited for a time of visitation and remembrance on Thur., June 21, from 6-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Arrangements in care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Homes, Presque Isle.
CHAPMAN – Michael A. Lewin, 61, passed away on Thursday, June 14, surrounded by family, at his home. Michael was born in Presque Isle on January 24, 1951, the son of Gordon and Marie (Mosher) Lewin.
Michael was a 1970 graduate of Presque Isle High School who worked for Fraser Paper for many years. He went to Northern Maine Community College later in life, and graduated in May 2011 with honors. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed camping at Deboullie Pond, hunting at Black Water, and fished many years at Squaw Pan Lake with his good fishing buddy, Phil Higgins.
Michael loved working on models of motorcycles, cars and ships with his son, Chad. Most of all, Michael enjoyed spending time with his family.
Michael is survived by his wife of more than forty years, Rita; his children, Lisa and her husband, Bert Campbell of Malone, NY, and Chad Lewin of Conroe, TX; grandson, Bailey Campbell of Malone, NY; siblings and their spouses, Linda and Gene Argraves of Manchester, CT, Marion Lewin of Kittery, Clifton and Gwen Lewin of Freedom; father- and mother-in-law, Richard and Pauline Zoulek of Athens, OH; brother- and sister-in-laws, Clyde (Charlie) Brown of Presque Isle, Steven Parks of Westfield, Galen Long of Island Falls, Connie Bahn of Athens, OH, Bill and Karen Gronewood of Almogordo, NM, Carla and Carl Rosher of Athens, OH, Dennis and Vickie Zoulek of Manengo, OH, Mark and Debbie Zoulek of Columbus, OH, Pam Zoulek of Marietta, OH, Brian and Sandy Zoulek of Athens, OH, and Rick and Renee Fuller of Naples, FL. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by his brother, George Lewin; sisters, Marie Brown Parks and Roberta Long; and brother-in-law, Riner Steinhoff.
