Northstars 21, Tigers 2
In Stockholm, the Northstars pounded out 18 hits against the visiting Tigers of Woodland, highlighted by a career-first home run from Joshua Quist, who finished with 2 hits. Austin Findlen, with two doubles and a triple, and Noah Hixon, with a double and a triple, led the attack with four hits each. Alex Bouchard added three hits, including two doubles.
For the Tigers, Brandon Manter had a single and an RBI double and Carter Moir had a single. Brooke Moir walked and scored a run.
Taking the hill for the Northstars were Alex Bouchard, Findlen, Riley Bouchard and Furber, who combined for 13 strikeouts while limiting the Tigers to only three hits. Manter, Carter Moir and Cameron Doody pitched for the Woodland Tigers and combined for 12 strikeouts.
Key Bank 6, Police 5
Key Bank held on against Police to pick up its fifth win of the season. Dylan Paddleford, Bailey Griffeth, Scott Long and Drew Evans all had singles for Police. Noah Rosado got it started for Key Bank in the first with a two-run homer. Rieley Bossie added three hits and Owen Martin had a double.
Seth Beidelman and Noah Frost combined to strike out 16 Police batters. Beidelman picked up the win and Frost got a save.
Shop ’n Save 20, Tigers 1
Shop ’n Save bats pounded out 22 hits from nine players on the way to a victory over the Tigers in Woodland. Alex Ezzy and Tristan Mancos both had five hits to lead the attack, with Parker Deprey getting four hits and Evan Burgay three. Carter Conley added an inside-the-park grand slam home run, and Ethan Holdsworth notched his first career hit.
On the mound, starter Ezzy went four innings and allowed only two hits to get the victory. Conley came in to finish up and get the two-inning save.
For the Tigers, Megan Thornton got a first-inning double and was knocked in by a Carter Moir single. Brandon Manter also had a single for the Tigers.
Tigers 16, Eagles 2
In a battle of the Woodland teams, Brandon Manter and Cameron Doody combined for 15 strikeouts to pitch the Tigers to victory over the Eagles.
The Tigers bats were unstoppable with Doody, Carter Moir, Megan Thornton, Matt McCormack and Rylan Masse contributing hits and Manter adding an inside-the-park home run in the fifth inning. Tigers Brooke Moir, Matt McCormack, PJ Thornton, Ethan Albair, Lexie Parker, Lane Moir and Maren Moir did a great job getting on base to add to the Tigers victory.
The Woodland Eagles played a well-fought game with Caleb Trombley doing a great job on the mound, followed by Scott Bray. The Eagles scored when Wyatt Taggett was knocked home by Ghent Durepo in the second inning, and Trombley scored on a hit by Taggett in fifth.
