HOULTON — On March 28, students at Houlton Elementary School participated in the annual Jump Rope For Heart campaign. The students raised more than $4,500 for the American Heart Association, which funds research, programs and education to fight heart disease and stroke.
“I’m so pleased with the success of this year’s event,” said Shari Good, a physical education teacher at HES and the event coordinator. “We all had a lot of fun, and the kids enjoyed learning about the importance of physical activity and how they can play a role in saving lives.”
