    HOULTON – William A. Clifford passed away on May 13, 2012 after a long illness surrounded by his family. He was born October 20, 1953 to Charles and Emily Clifford in Waterville, Maine.
     He graduated from Lawrence High School class of 1971 and then the University of Maine at Orono. He was employed with Georgia Pacific Company in Woodland as Wood Management Engineer. He worked there until his illness in 1982. He enjoyed many summers in Northport and winters in Zephyrhills, Florida where he had many friends who were like family.
    He is survived by his sisters, Carolyn and husband, Nigel Musgrave, of Newport, Susan and husband, Jon McLaughlin, of Houlton, and Elizabeth Adamz of Blackstone, MA; nephews, James Musgrave and wife, Lisa, and children, Lilly and Clara of Providence, RI, Andrew Musgrave and fiancée, Emily Kanstroom, of Cambridge, MA, Joshua McLaughlin and wife, Sarah, and children, Dawson, Sidda Claire and Saylor of Houlton, and Jason McLaughlin of Winthrop. He leaves his faithful companions, his dogs, Miss Eillie and Miss Molly. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Emily and his brother-in-law Craig Adamz.
    The family would like to thank all of his personal caregivers who have helped him throughout the years.
    Graveside services were held at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Houlton on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Deacon Al Burleigh officiating.
