Tidd, Sharon H., 54, May 9, 2012. Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.
HOULTON – Sharon Hanning Tidd, 54, left this world on May 9, 2012 to join her loving brother Bill, spitfire sister Brenda, her nephew “Bubba” McNinch, her wonderful mother Donna, her father Percy Kenneth and stepfather Clyde MacDonald, whom all predeceased her along with more family and friends. She was born Nov. 16, 1957 at Houlton, the daughter of Percy K. and Donna (Michaud) Hanning.
Sharon loved having people around. She enjoyed baking and cooking. She loved her family dearly and always held them close to her heart. She had a wonderful personality and a smile that would brighten anyone’s day. She had a gift, a gift of giving. Sharon was always there for a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear or a bit of advice for everyone that needed her. We lost a wonderful mother, grandmother, Nan, Nana, Ma, friend and (ex)wife that day.
Sharon leaves behind the most precious people and absolute loves of her entire life, her son, Jeremiah Joseph Masse of Waterville, a war vet in the US Army who served his country in Iraq, which made her so very proud; her granddaughter, Ciara Marie; her daughter, Brittany J. Hanning, who recently became a CNA for the second time, which also made her proud; her grandson and best friend, Jason Malaki Carmichael of Houlton; six brothers, Ken and his wife, Millie, George, Gordon, Gerry and Rodney, all of Houlton, Fred of Bangor; five sisters, Gloria Prentiss and her husband, Robert of FL, Sheila Bither, Dorothy Hanning and Leslie Hanning all of Houlton, Mary Ross and her husband, Scott of RI; many, many nieces, nephews cousins and especially all of her “adopted” children and all the “Rec” kids. Sharon touched the hearts of so many people and in some cases changed their lives forever. She will truly be missed by everyone who knew her.
