    HOULTON – Phyllis Arlene Spellman, 75, died May 6, 2012, in Houlton, with her family by her side. She was born Feb. 10, 1937, in Houlton, the eighth of thirteen children to James and Roxie (Sewell) McAfee.
    She was a member of First Baptist Church, involved in missions, American Baptist Women, True Blue and T.O.P.S.
    She is survived by two children, Linda Polchies and husband, Rodney, and Rick Spellman and wife, Bernadette, all of Houlton; two grandchildren, Jessica Milton and Dylan Polchies; and siblings, Dana McAfee of Littleton, Laura Snell of Houlton, Winona Schools of Houlton, Judy Fitzpatrick of Littleton, David McAfee of Augusta and Kenny McAfee of Littleton. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick; and brothers, Philip, Clarence, Orin, Donald, John and Albert.
    Friends called 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, at First Baptist Church, Court Street, Houlton, where funeral services began at 11 a.m. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery, Houlton.
