Brush up on business basics and get on solid ground this spring with a free three-week business planning class offered by Women, Work, and Community. The Basics of Starting a Business will be offered at the Houlton Higher Education Center on Mondays from now until May 7. Each class will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
This 9-hour class covers the basics of a business plan, marketing, and cash planning and is suitable for those thinking about or in the early start-up phase of a new business. It will help you assess the feasibility, desirability, and viability of your business idea and get you started with your plan.
The Basics of Starting a Business class is open to women, men, partners, and all entrepreneurs. The class is suitable for those who are thinking about starting their own business, current business owners who are in the early start-up phase, or established business owners who want a refresher on planning for successful business operation or expansion.
