Oakfield Seniors meet

Twenty members and three guests met at the Oakfield Snowmobile club on April 2.Wanetta Townsend said the blessing. After a good lunch we had the Lord’s Prayer and flag salute. We had a short business meeting and then asked our special guest to speak on his garden. He is a local who will have all kinds of veggies and fruit for sale as it is ready to harvest.
He also has fresh eggs that he brought to the meeting and drew a number. The lucky ones got a dozen fresh eggs. His wife and son Wyatt came with him we enjoyed having them and invite them back anytime they would like to come and have lunch with a bunch of us old folks. Thank you all for coming. Attending were Margaret Cameron, Tessie Barrett, Linda Bartlett, Hazel Beers, Geneva Bell, Bernice Campbell, Martha Chapados, Jeanne Clements, Roger and Shirley Ethier, Arlene Friel, Mildred Gagnon, Marie Gillotti, Mary Lawler, Ursula Levesque, Charlotte Marley, Larry and Peggy Sanders, Wanetta Townsend, Geo Barrows, Richard Commire, Lottie and Earle Doughty.
