Salisbury earns honors
    Smyrna Mills resident Erika Salisbury, an international affairs major, was recently named to Northeastern University’s dean’s list for the fall semester, which ended in December 2011.
    To achieve the dean’s list distinction, students must carry a full program of at least four courses, have a quality point average of 3.5 or greater out of a possible 4.0 and carry no single grade lower than a C- during the course of their college career.
McLaughlin recognized
    Headmaster Jay Stroud of Tabor Academy has named the following Houlton student to the Honors List for semester one of the 2011-2012 academic year. Honors is earned by compiling an overall average of 85 or above.
    Bailey McLaughlin, class of 2013, daughter of Ms. Eileen McLaughlin, was named to honors list.
KHS plans show
    STACYVILLE — Katahdin High School will hold its annual musical performing arts event April 11 and 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the school. This year’s theme is “The Classics: Take 2.” The show is put on by the school’s “PACK (Performing Arts Club) students” and will feature singing, dancing and performing skits from classic movies.
