Bus trip to Portland was a memorable experience

By Brianne Savoy
Earlier in the year we took a field trip to Portland on a Cyr Bus. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in my life!
On the way down, all of the kids were talking to their friends and having fun. That showed that we had a lot of fun. Also, a lot of people kept getting locked out of the bathroom. Then, the driver had to pull over and unlock it for us.
When we got there, we went to the Gulf of Maine Research Institute. We got to touch lobsters and research some amazing scientific organisms. It was so awesome. It was wicked fun, and I learned a lot! When we had to leave it made my classmates and I sad. But, we got our choice of which restaurant to go to. I chose Wendy’s.

One the way back, we had an … interesting … adventure. The Cyr Bus broke down, and it kept shutting off, so we had to get a new one. That was an experience I will never forget as long as I live. But, soon after that we got home and we all wanted to go back. Anyway, that was our amazing trip to Portland … a 6th grade memory that I will always remember. Thank you Presque Isle Middle School!

6th Grade Memories and Experiences

By Kiara Lyford

I had lots of fears coming to middle school,
I still wanted to be in a swimming pool.
My new friends are great,
They treat me much better than fish bait.
Opening my locker was a nightmare,
Over and over, I said, “This is not fair.”

We went to Potato World,
The fries were straight not curled.
I joined Destination Imagination,
It’s fun and a great creation.
At the Regional competition we got third place,
You should have seen my face!
I got really good grades,
That never fades
6th grade has been a great year,
Better than watching jumping deer.
In 6th grade you make rocking memories
and that’s no lie,
Now it’s time to say good-bye.
