Presque Isle High School captured two Aroostook County volleyball titles last week. The girls won the tournament in Caribou and the boys were victors at home.

In the girls’ championship Wednesday, the Wildcats topped the Vikings 25-14, 19-25 and 25-20. Caribou had entered the championship with a 7-0 record in the round robin tournament.
Madawaska, Fort Kent and Houlton also competed.
Making the All-Tournament Team were: Jessica Theriault and Courtney Colligan of Presque Isle; Caribou’s Morgan Swan and Rebecca McDougal; Autumn Fox of Houlton; Madawaska’s Amanda Nadeau and Nicole Cyr; and Sam Carapellucci of Fort Kent.
In the boys’ tournament, also played on Wednesday, the Wildcats came back from a 0-1 deficit to beat the Madwaska Owls. Madawaska won a close first game, 25-23, and then Presque Isle took control winning the second and third games, 25-11 and 25-13.
Caribou, Houlton and Fort Kent also took part.
Making the All-Tournament Team were: Presque Isle’s Andrew Kofstad, Logan Good, Cody Flannery and Mitchell Ayotte; Lucas Flewelling and Alex Donovan of Houlton; Caribou’s Grant Bennett and Justin Napalapalai; and Dylan Wetmore, Matt Deschenes and Jesse Pelletier of Madawaska.
