FP-Ecumenical-dcx-pt-12Deacon Ron Ouellette, left, hosted the Ecumenical Lenten Service at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Houlton March 14. With Ouellette is Marilyn Roper, a member of the Society of Friends (Quakers), who offered a reflection on the theme “Hope for Peace.” She quoted many of Jesus’ teachings on non-violence as the way to peace. The March 21 service will be held at the Houlton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Art Myers preaching. The theme is “Hope for Evangelization for All.” The service begins at 7 p.m. with a time of food and fellowship following. The offering will benefit the local Fuel Assistance Program of the Salvation Army. All are welcome.
