PRESQUE ISLE — U.S. Cellular continues its investment in the community by introducing a larger retail store in Presque Isle, located at 733 Main Street, about two miles north of its prior location. To mark the occasion, staff and city officials gathered for a Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce-sponsored ribbon-cutting ceremony earlier this year, once all the unpacking was completed.
SETTLING INTO A NEW LOCATION — U.S. Cellular staff moved into their new, larger retail location at 733 Main Street in Presque Isle last fall. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held earlier this year to mark the move. Pictured at the event, from left, are: Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce members Stacy Shaw and Gail Clukey; Chris Walls, technician; Darlene Rogers, retail wireless consultant; Gary Hebert, store manager; Carla Pendexter, retail wireless consultant; Jim McKenney, CACC president; and Theresa Fowler, CACC executive director.
“We actually opened Nov. 18 but waited until after the first of the year so we could get settled in before celebrating the move,” said Gary Hebert, store manager.
Hebert said the new store gives staff and customers more room.
“It’s a bigger location so we can provide more products and better service for our customers. We have more visibility and better parking also,” said Hebert.
The new location adds more than 200 square feet compared to the previous Main Street store, allowing customers to comfortably access U.S. Cellular’s lineup of cutting-edge devices, including BlackBerry-powered Windows phone and Android-powered smartphones, such as the Motorola Electrify and mobile tablets like the HTC Flyer.
“We invite customers to visit our new store, which is even easier to navigate,” said Hebert. “It’s the perfect time to stop by because we’ve got a fresh look, and we’re offering a fresh start with U.S. Cellular as your wireless provider.”
Located in the mall behind the China Pearl, the business is open Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sundays, noon to 5 p.m.; or customers may call 764-6212.
