Community center committee members OK’d

PRESQUE ISLE — Members of the Community Center Building Committee were appointed during Monday night’s City Council meeting.
Council Chair Emily Smith said there was a great deal of interest in the positions, with numerous people putting their names up for consideration.
“We had a lot of interest from people wanting to serve on the Building Committee and have come up with a list of individuals,” said Smith.
Smith recommended and councilors confirmed the appointment of the following people to the Community Center Building Committee: Scott Norton, AJ Cloukey, Rich James, Karl Dampf, Bruce Roope, Mike Chasse, Mel Hovey and Councilors Emily Smith and Micah Desmond.
