Contributed photoThe second Wednesday Night Lenten series at the Military Street Baptist Church, sponsored by the Southern Aroostook Ministers Association, was held last week. This year’s Lenten theme concerns seeking God for the City. The theme for last Wednesday night was all about praying that God would awaken those who walk far from him. Taking part, are from left, Wade Goetsch, Tim Glatter, Ella Glatter, Marissa Drake, Sarah Glatter, Jaclyn Hodgkins, and David Gno. Hodgkins and Goetsch gave testimony to how personally and profoundly God has been encouraging and leading them in their lives. The offering each week is going to the Salvation Army fuel fund. A reception followed the service. On Wednesday, March 14, at 7 p.m., the service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Marilyn Roper speaking on the transformation of entire communities. All are welcome to attend.
