    HOULTON – Winifred I. Howard, 89, died March 7, 2012 at a local hospital. She was born April 19, 1922 at Milltown, NB Canada, the daughter of Arthur and Winnifred (Smith) O’Brien.
    Winifred is survived by two sons, David James of FL, Paul James of Togus; two daughters, Mary Hill and her husband, Lew, of Millington, MI, Teresa Carter of Bucksport; fourteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John R. Howard.
    A memorial service was held at the Dunn Funeral Home Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Raymond officiating.
