    SMRYNA – John J. Maguire Sr., 83, died Jan. 22, 2012, at home. He was born May 14, 1928, in Salem, Mass., the son of Ralph and Evelyn (Kimball) Maguire.
    He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II.
    He is survived by three children, John J. Maguire Jr. and his wife, Gail, Lisa Condon and her husband, Alan, and Nicole Maguire, all of Smyrna; grandchildren, Steven Hornblower, Ryan Hornblower, John J. Maguire III, Christopher Condon, Nikki-Jean Hornblower, Rebecca Condon, Adam Maguire, Crystal Maguire, Danny Condon, Amanda Condon, Jennifer Hornblower and Kylie Larson; 17 great-grand-children; a brother, Robert F. Maguire and his wife, Jimmie Mae, of Alabama; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Eva; a daughter, Debbie; two brothers, Ralph Maguire and Kenneth McGee; and a sister, Phyllis Rossi.
