HOULTON – Howard Andrew Stevens, 42, died March 7, 2012, in Houlton. He was born June 1, 1969, in Penn Yan, N.Y., the son of Howard and Charlotte (Cyr) Stevens. He was a graduate of Ticonderoga High School.
He was known as a great truck driver, working for several trucking firms in the area. His handle was “Highway Howie.” He loved his family and enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his mother of Torrington, Conn., Howard is survived by his wife, Susan Stevens of Houlton; a daughter, the love of his life, Madison Shae Stevens; and a son, Tyler Dwyer; stepchildren, Aaron and Chelsey Stewart; a granddaughter, Paige, all of Houlton; two sisters, Julie Bassett and her husband, James, of Torrington, Conn., and Sandra O’Connor and her husband, Patrick, of Fayetteville, N.Y.; and niece and nephews, Brandon and Logan Bassett, and Meghan and Matthew O’Connor. He was predeceased by his father, Howard P. Stevens.
Friends called 1-2 p.m. Monday, March 12, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services were held 2 p.m. with the Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating.
