Beginning this summer, University College at Houlton will offer two USM graduate certificate programs designed for practicing teachers and administrators: Response to Intervention (RTI) Academic and Response to Intervention (RTI) Behavior. Courses in the programs will be delivered by video conference and online.
Certificate students in both programs will learn the core features of RTI as a multi-tier system to support all students. Both RTI Academic and RTI Behavior certificates prepare educators to design and implement systems of support which focus on establishing Tier I (core) curriculum practices as the foundation.
Interested individuals are invited to attend an information session on Monday, March 26 from 4 – 5 p.m. The session will be hosted by Pat Red and Dr. Rachel Brown-Chidsey of USM’s Education and Psychology Program. Contact University College at Houlton for more information or to reserve a seat at 521-3100.
