Fundraiser to benefit cafeteria project
EASTON NEWS
by Debbie Smith
The penny fundraiser is going on at the Easton Elementary School the month of March by the EPCO. If your child has pennies to contribute to this worthy cause, please send them in to school with them in a baggie with the child’s name on the baggie. Rolled coins are very much appreciated. The winning class will be treated to a pizza party. All proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to purchase new cafeteria tables.
Box tops bonanza
The EPCO held their box tops bonanza and the winner was the 2nd grade class. The runner-up class was the kindergarten class. These classes will get to keep the money they raised to put into whatever they decide upon for their classrooms.
All-Aroostook stars
Three basketball athletes from Easton were chosen this year to participate in the Senior All-Aroostook Basketball Team in Caribou. Ariana Babineau was chosen from the girls’ team and Reid Clark and Jonah Bacon were chosen from the boys’ team. The community is very honored to have three of its athletes chosen for this position. Congratulations to all of you.
I attended the game and it looked like they were all having fun as well as doing a great job.
National Honor Society
The Easton High School National Honor Society inducted two new members. Harvey Brown and Kennedy Young, both juniors, were chosen as National Honor Society members. Congratulations to you both.
