HOULTON — Attorneys for Thayne Ormsby, who is accused of a triple murder in Orient in 2010, have filed court documents asking for a change of venue for the trial, according to the Bangor Daily News.
Ormsby, 21, of Ellsworth is accused of killing two Amity men Jeffrey Ryan, 55; Jason Dehahn, 30; and 10-year-old Jesse Ryan in late June, 2010.
Jury selection is slated to begin April 4 in Houlton for the case. A decision on whether to grant the change of venue could be made at that time.
