The Caribou Public Library will be hosting a book talk/signing on Saturday, March 24 at 11 am. during which Maine author Roger Akeley, provides a slide presentation and discussion on his book, “Embedded Memories: the Story of Aroostook Potato Houses.”
Akeley’s book is an affectionate portrait of Aroostook County, Maine — it’s land and its people, featuring 300 pictures of potato houses, a unique portrayal of farm architecture and a look at the peak potato producing years in Maine. Akeley’s book also features beautiful photos by local photographers, Paul Cyr and Voscar.
The March 24 event will culminate with a book signing. The cost of the hardcover book is $21.95. Refreshments will be provided.
