LUDLOW – Earl Timothy Richardson, 79, died Feb. 28, 2012 at his residence. He was born Dec. 11, 1932 at Portage Lake, the son of Percy and Evelyn (Knilans) Richardson.
Earl was a well known teamster. He worked with horses all of his life and enjoyed horse pulls, winning ribbons throughout the State of Maine and Canada. Earl was a woodsman, but also a “jack of all trades” and an avid hunter. He enjoyed seeing moose, especially the black ones. He loved his children and grandchildren even though he may not have said it often. He believed strongly in Jehovah God and the teaching of the Witnesses.
Earl is survived by his wife, Pamella (Smart) Richardson of Ludlow; one son, Michael Bither; five daughters, Kelley Brooker and her husband, Ron, of Ludlow, Sally Lincoln and her husband, Eric, of Houlton, Mary Gibbs and her partner, Mark, of Saranac Lake, NY, Tracy Richardson and her partner, Bobby, of Tucson, AZ, Michelle Greenleaf and her partner, Joseph, of Houlton; fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his son, Timothy Richardson on June 1, 1994; and two brothers, Alden and Sheldon Richardson. A thank you to a special “chore boy” Stanley Doane.
