UMPI Baseball Clinic scheduled
PRESQUE ISLE — The University of Maine at Presque Isle Baseball Team will hold a three-day baseball clinic in Wieden Gymnasium March 9-11.
Participants can choose to go to one, two or three sessions and the cost will be as follows: $35 for one session, $65 for two sessions and $85 for three sessions. This instructional clinic will focus on the fundamental skills needed for playing the game of baseball. Session one will be held on March 9, 6-9 p.m., and the skills being taught will include throwing and catching mechanics, fielding ground balls and fly balls, and base running. Session two will be held on March 10, 1-5 p.m., and hitting and bunting will be the topics of instruction. Session three will be held on March 11, 1-5 p.m., where pitchers and catchers will be able to polish their skills. Early pre-registration for this clinic is strongly suggested.
